Humming Herbs® TMG is a methyl-donor capsule supplement providing betaine anhydrous (trimethylglycine, TMG) 1,500 mg per three-capsule serving, with folate as L-methylfolate 170 mcg DFE, vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin 2 mcg and vitamin B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate 1.2 mg, in a bottle of 120 capsules — 40 servings. It is for adults who want a high TMG serving with the methylated B vitamins already in the same capsule.
TMG stands for trimethylglycine, also sold as betaine anhydrous — the glycine molecule carrying three methyl groups. It acts as a methyl donor, and it is involved in normal homocysteine metabolism. Supplements aimed at methylation support usually pair TMG with the methylated B vitamins, because those sit in the same pathway.
Folate here is L-methylfolate (L-5-MTHF), not folic acid; B12 is methylcobalamin, not cyanocobalamin; B6 is pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P-5-P), not pyridoxine hydrochloride. These are the active coenzyme forms, which is why they are often preferred in a methylation formula. Amounts: 170 mcg DFE folate (43% DV), 2 mcg B12 (83% DV), 1.2 mg B6 (71% DV).
Three capsules daily with food is one full serving. The bottle holds 40 servings.
Three times the TMG, plus the B vitamins. This SKU gives 1,500 mg of TMG per serving and adds L-methylfolate, methylcobalamin and P-5-P. Our TMG 500 mg is a plain single-ingredient capsule in a 90-capsule bottle. Choose this one for a full methyl-donor stack in one product; choose the 500 mg if you already take your own B vitamins and want to set the TMG amount separately.

Find answers to common questions about this product
Yes. Trimethylglycine and betaine anhydrous are two names for the same compound, and the panel prints both: "Betaine Anhydrous (Trimethylglycine, TMG)". It is worth knowing when comparing labels, because one bottle may lead with TMG and another with betaine anhydrous while declaring exactly the same ingredient at the same amount.
1,500 mg of betaine anhydrous (TMG) per three-capsule serving, which works out at 500 mg in each capsule. The 120-capsule bottle holds 40 servings. Three methylated B vitamins are declared alongside it on their own panel rows, so the label shows four actives in total rather than a single ingredient.
All three are methylated or activated forms: vitamin B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate 1.2 mg at 71% of the Daily Value, folate as L-methylfolate 170 mcg DFE, equal to 100 mcg of L-5-MTHF, at 43%, and vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin 2 mcg at 83%. Many bottles use pyridoxine, folic acid and cyanocobalamin instead, so the forms are worth checking.
Three capsules is one full serving. Taking fewer gives you a proportionally smaller amount of everything on the panel, including the TMG and all three B vitamins. If the full serving does not suit you, that is a conversation for a healthcare professional rather than something to work out from the label. Do not exceed three capsules a day.
There is no ingredient overlap between this panel and the Humming Herbs® Trans-Resveratrol 500 mg or Ca-AKG 1000 mg panels, so nothing would be doubled up. Overlap is not the only question though. If you take any medication or have a medical condition, ask your healthcare professional before combining supplements in a routine.
In 40 days. Three capsules daily from a 120-capsule bottle gives 40 servings, which makes it the shortest-running bottle in this range, so plan reorders around that rather than the 60 or 120 days the other formulas run to. Consult your healthcare professional before use if you are pregnant, nursing, under 18, taking medication or have a medical condition.
