Humming Herbs® Trans-Resveratrol is a polyphenol capsule supplement providing trans-resveratrol 500 mg at 98% purity, from 510 mg of Japanese knotweed root extract, per two-capsule serving, with quercetin dihydrate 350 mg, vitamin C 75 mg, vitamin D 4 mcg and zinc 9 mg, in a bottle of 120 capsules — 60 servings. It is for adults who want the trans isomer stated, at 98%, with quercetin alongside it.

Why does 'trans' and '98%' matter?

Resveratrol exists as two isomers, cis and trans; trans-resveratrol is the form used in supplement research and the one worth paying for. Purity matters just as much: a label reading "500 mg resveratrol extract" may contain far less actual resveratrol than one reading "500 mg trans-resveratrol at 98%". This panel declares 500 mg of trans-resveratrol at 98%, from 510 mg of Japanese knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum) root extract.

Why quercetin?

Quercetin is a flavonol polyphenol, here as quercetin dihydrate 350 mg from Sophora japonica flower. Quercetin and resveratrol are routinely formulated together as complementary polyphenols. Vitamin C 75 mg (83% DV), vitamin D 4 mcg (20% DV) and zinc as zinc picolinate 9 mg (82% DV) complete the five actives.

How much should I take?

Two capsules daily with food. The bottle holds 60 servings.

How is this different from our Resveratrol 1200mg?

This SKU is about declared purity: 500 mg of trans-resveratrol at 98%, with a large quercetin partner at 350 mg. Our Resveratrol 1200 mg SKU is a bigger total-milligram blend that spreads across fisetin and spermidine as well as quercetin. Choose this one if you want to know exactly how much trans-resveratrol you are taking; choose the 1200 mg if you want the wider longevity polyphenol set.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about this product

How much trans-resveratrol is in a serving?

Trans-resveratrol 500 mg per two-capsule serving, declared at 98% purity and drawn from 510 mg of Japanese knotweed root extract. Both the resveratrol figure and the extract weight it comes from are printed on the panel. The 120-capsule bottle holds 60 servings. Quercetin dihydrate 350 mg sits beside it as the second botanical active.

Is this trans-resveratrol or a mixed resveratrol, and what does 98% mean?

Trans-resveratrol, declared at 98% on the Supplement Facts panel. Resveratrol exists as two isomers, trans and cis, and the trans form is the one supplement labels specify. The 98% figure describes the purity of the resveratrol itself, which is why the panel can state a firm 500 mg rather than quoting an unstandardised extract weight.

Where does the resveratrol come from?

Japanese knotweed root extract, Polygonum cuspidatum, declared at 510 mg per serving. That plant is the usual commercial source of resveratrol for supplements, because the concentration in knotweed root is far higher than in grapes or wine. The panel names both the plant and the extract weight rather than just saying "from natural sources".

Why is quercetin paired with it, and how much is in there?

Quercetin dihydrate 350 mg per two-capsule serving, from Sophora japonica flower. Quercetin is a flavonoid and a frequent partner to resveratrol in healthy-ageing formulas. It is declared on its own panel row with its own amount, so you can compare it directly rather than working it out from a combined polyphenol blend weight.

What else is on the panel?

Three nutrients beyond the two botanicals: vitamin C 75 mg as ascorbic acid at 83% of the Daily Value, vitamin D 4 mcg (160 IU) at 20%, and zinc 9 mg as zinc picolinate at 82%. If you already take a multivitamin or a standalone zinc product, check those figures against it so you know your daily totals.

Does it contain anything from grapes or wine?

No. The trans-resveratrol here comes from Japanese knotweed root extract, so there is no grape material and no alcohol involved at any point. The directions are two capsules daily with food, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Consult your healthcare professional before use if you are pregnant, nursing, under 18, taking medication or have a medical condition.
